In Daniel 6:3 The bible tells us that Daniel was distinguished above his peers because he had an “excellent spirit”. In Philippians 4:8, Paul tells us to think on things that are excellent and in 2 Peter 1:13 it tells us that God has called us to excellence.
Excellence doesn’t mean being perfect or that everything works out the way we plan, instead, living an excellent life is when we chose to allow the Holy Spirit into our imperfect lives and the challenges we face so He can help us. Excellence is when we accept his forgiveness and forgive others. Excellence is when we move in God’s power not ours. Excellence is following His precepts not the world’s way of doing things. Excellence is about knowing who you are as a child of God. Excellence is being content with God’s timing and about serving others.
