Dr. Diana Kapiszewski is a Provost’s Distinguished Associate Professor in the Department of Government. She has authored multiple journal articles and four books, including the award-winning High Courts and Economic Governance in Argentina and Brazil. Her current work examines judicial politics and law in Latin America. One project analyzes institutions of electoral governance and another investigates informal workers’ use of legal strategies in the region, focused in Brazil and Mexico. Beyond her work in this field, she is also distinguished and award-winning in the area of research methods, co-directing the Qualitative Data Repository and co-editing the new Cambridge University book series: ‘Methods of Social Inquiry’. Her work has appeared in publications such as Latin American Politics and Society, Law and Social Inquiry, Law & Society Review, Perspectives on Politics, and PS: Political Science and Politics.
