Kelly is an ex-personal trainer turned transformational coach specializing primarily in body image and relationships with food. After being a personal trainer for several years, she dove deeply into personal development - originally for her mental health and for the success of her business - and started to realize that her perceived healthy lifestyle as a fitness trainer and nutritionist was just a very convenient way to disguise an eating disorder and abusive relationship with herself. Her journey of reconnecting back with herself beyond the conditioning of diet culture, the fitness industry and entrepreneurship was the groundwork for the work she does today in coaching women to feel at home inside of themselves and their bodies.

In this episode Jen and Kelly discuss:

- Coaching is a journey of personal and professional development, and coaches often evolve their approach based on their own experiences and growth.

- Many women struggle with self-criticism, self-doubt, and comparison, which can be traced back to early experiences of shame, rejection, and not fitting in.

- Media and movies play a significant role in shaping body image and self-worth, often promoting unrealistic standards and reinforcing harmful beliefs.

- Creating lasting change requires an integrated approach that includes examining beliefs, addressing subconscious programming, and embracing all aspects of oneself, including the shadow side. Give yourself permission to be and let go of self-judgment in order to explore your desires and motivations.

- Affirmations and mantras are powerful tools, but they must align with your beliefs and be supported by compassionate self-awareness.

- Acceptance of oneself and one's patterns is crucial for transformation, as it allows for a deeper understanding and the ability to make aligned choices.

- Transformation starts from within and requires a shift in mindset and beliefs, as well as taking aligned action.

- Identify and address subconscious fears and beliefs that may be holding you back from achieving your goals.

- Finding meaning and purpose in life involves a balance between self-discovery and being present in the human experience.
