In addition to his work in academia, and in large law firms and as mediator for organizational clients, Dean Tan brings with him the unusual experience of serving as Ambassador at Large for the U.S. State Department’s Office of Global Criminal Justice, where he oversaw the prosecution of war criminals in Sri Lanka, Rwanda, the Balkans, and Lebanon. During this podcast, Dean Tan shares his historical studies of mass atrocities and their relation to current conflicts in North Korea, Russia, and Ukraine, respectively. Dean Tan also opines as to the likely outcome of Russia's mass atrocity crimes in the global context and the International Criminal Court.
