Lucien Costley is the Vice President for Planning and Finance at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. "I wasn't your typical Institutional Research (IR) person," Lucien says, reflecting on his transition from IR to his current role. "We have to continue to find those niche and/or value-added proposition academic programs or opportunities," he advises. He also passionately counters the national narrative questioning the return on investment for a college education, stating, "The narrative that has happened in this country in the past 20 and 30 years is wrong."
