Manage episode 337168736 series 2793002
Ladies and Gentleman it's TACO TUESDAY...This week we welcome Navy veteran Bill Hoopes, owner of the first Capital Tacos franchise. After separating from the Navy after 16 years of service, Bill got right to work building his empire. His daughter's passion for softball was the inspiration for his first business, a softball tournament organization. He stayed close to his community providing an exciting environment for young woman to showcase their skills on the diamond. He helped numerous girls rise to the collegiate level, unlocking scholarships that would change their lives forever. Even though his family run softball business was thriving, Bill was not ready to get comfortable. Leaning on a culinary background he started when he was 17, Bill started to investigate restaurant franchises. That is when Capital Tacos presented itself. The brand was a success in the Tampa area, and was looking to expand into franchising. It was a match made in heaven. Bill, along with his partner and their families, are now about to open their first of four planned locations. He discusses the skills and traits it takes to start a business, what to look for when picking partners and employees, and how to manage multiple projects at the same time. If you have ever dreamed of opening your own business, this is the episode for you! So fire up the grill, grab the taco seasoning, and enjoy this week's episode.
