Why You Need to STOP Chasing Trends (feat. Ash)

On this episode, Ash and I sit down to discuss why you need to stop chasing the trends. What do we mean? Well, there's an entire laundry list of trends in the fitness and nutrition space that are restrictive, ineffective, and downright ridiculous for the majority of the population:
- Juice cleanses and detoxes
- Fad diets (e.g. keto, intermittent fasting, carnivore)
- Six-week challenges and 30-day shreds
- Mini bands
- HIIT Bodybuilding
- Etc.
Trends are attractive because they have fixed durations and produce result, but the results are NOT due to the specific food choices or exercises. The results are due to improved food quality, restricted quantity, and increased activity.
We need to adopt a new perspective, we need to embrace patience and simplicity, and we need to place greater value on mastering the fundamentals and building the basics.
