Much has been written about the necessary, sometimes difficult, sometimes lovely, interactions between parents and teachers. These interactions can take the form of organized parent-teacher conferences, phone calls, emails, texts and department meetings. But, regardless of the venue, the meetings can trigger feelings of stress and anxiety in both teacher and parent.
However, it doesn’t have to be this way. The Parent Connection can be a positive, fulfilling experience for both teacher and parent if the interactions are approached in a more mindful way. Today’s podcast offers simple, doable tips about how to use what, veteran educator Cindy Schwartz calls - the D.E.A.L. approach.
