On this extra-length interview edition of the podcast we welcome special guest Joey Weiser (writer and artist for Eisner nominated 'Mermin' & creator of 'Ghost Hog') to give us an insight into making comics, early anime initiation, preserving cels and appreciating classic Japanese cinema. Joey was also essential in introducing Lupin to Cleon so he's partially responsible for this podcast being on your feed! We also discuss the part controversial, part acclaimed movie from 1987 'The Fuma Conspiracy', where we discuss jet-pack ninjas, shoujo Goemon and whether Zenigata really does have a secret family living in the Hida mountain region. Also, Ben spends some time staunchly defending this movie's questionable soundtrack, and Cleon's brain short circuits towards the end.
We have some really interesting discussions with Joey this episode and delve into many areas so even if you're not involved with the movie discussed we highly recommend giving this episode a listen.
