Lingering Precipitation in the Northeast and Pacific Northwest; Slowly Moderating Temperatures - Areas of rain and snow will continue over the Pacific Northwest and Northeast U.S. into early Wednesday. Mainly dry weather is expected elsewhere with fire weather concerns across southern California. Temperatures for much of the country will gradually warm by Wednesday, with some record highs possible over the West and Plains.
