Fire Weather Concerns for Western & Central States; Unusually Warm in Parts of California and Plains - A fast-moving storm system will deliver gusty winds from the northern Rockies into the Plains, with critical fire weather conditions from the Four Corners into the Midwest. In the wake of this system, high temperatures over parts of the Plains are expected to be up to 20 degrees below normal on Thursday. Meanwhile, hot weather will prevail across coastal California with increasing fire danger.
