Much is made about the creative decisions in ads for the Big Game, but how does all that money, those requisite celebrity cameos, and everything else that goes into these multi-million dollar investments translate into Return on investment? Today we’re going to talk about what the numbers tell us from all those high-profile ads and who the winners and losers of the Advertising Bowl are in 2025. To help me discuss this topic, I’d like to welcome Nataly Kelly, CMO at Zappi, who unveiled their annual Super Bowl Ad Success report on Monday. We’re here to talk about the approach, the results, and what those results mean for brands that invested a lot of money - and time - into their campaigns. WISCONSIN MUSIC PODCAST WMP Linktree: https://linktr.ee/WI_Music_Podcast AMPLFYING WISCONSIN MUSIC Episode 165 Nate Wycoff - SOULKEEPER In today’s episode of the Wisconsin Music Podcast, we get into the Halloween spirit with Nate Wycoff, a creative powerhouse who’s taken on a truly unique project: a comic book paired with an original soundtrack! Inspired by synth-driven horror movie soundscapes and classic comic books, Nate has crafted a horror-themed audio and visual experience that’s perfect for the Halloween season. Imagine a world where every panel of a comic is infused with its own cinematic soundtrack—no movie screen required. Nate shares his journey of combining storytelling with music, explaining how a love for horror classics and synth sounds (think Christine and Halloween) led him to create a chilling tale of "The Soul Keeper." Part supernatural enforcer, part tragic anti-hero, the Soul Keeper navigates a gritty underworld in pursuit of mortal souls, accompanied by darkly atmospheric music to heighten the suspense. Key takeaways from Nate's creative process: The Intersection of Music and Storytelling: Nate’s project began with synth compositions inspired by ‘80s horror scores. The music eventually shaped a storyline, which evolved into the comic book. His creative journey flips the typical soundtrack concept, producing a "score" for a comic rather than a film. Analog Inspirations with a Modern Twist: From synthesizers to retro horror movie vibes, Nate dove into the nostalgia of physical music production, blending both digital and analog techniques. His soundtrack is layered with ambient synths, haunting melodies, and even snippets of dialogue to make readers feel as if they're tuning into a lost horror radio broadcast. Immersive Art and AI Collaboration: Nate took on every detail of the comic’s visuals, from character design to layout, even using AI to shape the art’s foundation before editing each panel himself. The result is a beautifully haunting visual journey that captures the gritty, raw spirit of classic horror. Tune in now to hear the full conversation with Nate. As Halloween approaches, it's the perfect time to dive into this one-of-a-kind experience. 👻…
