On this weeks episode, I talk about working in a correctional environment and dealing with offenders. I describe the process of classifying new offenders and how various offenders are assigned to different custody levels. I identify and explain the different segregation levels and why offenders may be assigned to segregation or isolation. I also explain why having segregation is vital to the safe operation of a correctional facility. I briefly describe the public misconception of what it's like to be in prison.
