Good morning, Washington D.C.! It's Thursday, October 4th, 2023, and I'm excited to bring you the latest weather update.
Well, it looks like we're in for a beautiful fall day, folks! Temperatures are starting off nice and crisp, with current readings in the mid-40s. But don't worry, it's going to warm up nicely as the day goes on. In fact, we're expecting highs to reach the upper 60s, possibly even breaking 70 degrees in some spots.
That being said, it's still going to feel pretty comfortable, thanks to a light breeze blowing in from the northwest. So whether you're heading out for a walk around the National Mall or planning a picnic in Dupont Circle, it's shaping up to be a great day to be outside.
Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "But what about the clouds?" Well, I'm happy to report that we're looking at plenty of sunshine today, with just a few wispy clouds scattered about. So put on those sunglasses and soak up some rays!
Looking ahead to tonight, things cool down nicely, with lows dipping into the mid-50s. And tomorrow, we're expecting more of the same – sunny skies and mild temperatures. Yeah, it's definitely feeling like fall has arrived in Washington D.C.!
Before I go, I want to leave you with a fun weather-related fact. Did you know that the highest temperature ever recorded in Washington D.C. was 106 degrees Fahrenheit, back on July 24th, 1930? Wow, that's hot!
