The first video we react to is one that talks about boundaries within oneself and what happens when that inner trust in yourself starts to break down. Your inner conscience always keeps tabs on what you’re doing, where you’re going, and more importantly if the balance between helping others and helping yourself isn’t equal. We finish the segment by speaking on self betrayal from three different perspectives.
The second video we react to is about slave culture in the workspace and how not having boundaries can negatively affect your energy levels. At the start of the video, Carmen is obviously working hard on multiple tasks and is then approached by her(their) boss to add more to an already busy schedule. We notice how at the beginning of the video, they’re noticeably struggling to say no but by the end of the video they’ve already started making it a routine enough to congratulate themselves which launches us into a deep convo about how parents pass down slave culture to kids because they pick it up in the workplace.
Finally, the last video is a deep dive into how not trusting your own boundaries within yourself can result in messy communication, people pleasing, and abolishing inner self respect while inside of a relationship. When you’re on your own, these things can be mitigated or ignored but inside of a relationship not speaking up in a timely manner causes more chaos than you could ever imagine. Learning to be there for yourself, is inherently going to make you a better partner in your relationships as well.
