#049 Transforming Healthcare Services in the UK: The UK Government Health Card and the Power of AI
Manage episode 504575298 series 3609053
I was trying to understand why we have an NHS Health Card in the first place. When you visit a Doctor’s or Dentist’s Surgery, an outpatient unit, or a General Hospital, why can’t this card be used as a form of identity to accept or refuse service? In the case of a refusal, payment can be made or proof of one or an ID can be generated as required.
Imagine visiting the Doctor’s Surgery, you just swipe your NHS card on a reader and the Doctor now knows you are there for your appointment and waiting in reception.
