We are SO stoked to welcome the wild, adventurous, mountain man, Kristian Manietta, onto the pod this week to riff on what Steph likes to call “The Kristian Method!” Kristian and his amazing wife Charlotte are the co-founders of Endurance Specific Coaching and they are up for crazy challenges in life! This conversation with Kristian goes to so many wondrous places. Steph and Kristian are diving into his background & his journey through different sports like snowboarding, Ironman triathlons, and trail running, his approach to challenges and life, his experiences as an athlete and coach, his transition from snowboarding to endurance sports like Ironman and trail running, and his current focus on ultra-running. Kristian reminds us of the importance of pushing oneself out of comfort zones, making committed decisions, and staying consistent and it is oh so inspiring.
He also shares personal challenges, like running 100 days in a row and participating in grueling races like the 200-mile Bigfoot race and the Crazy Mountain 100. Through these challenges, Kristian aims to inspire others to be curious, suspend disbelief, and take action rather than waiting for motivation. Kristian’s resilience in the face of challenges, and his belief in the power of curiosity and consistent effort are not only inspiring but are infectious!
