With propaganda as the official line coming out of Moscow we wanted to get the point of view of a reasonable person, an ordinary Russian. And that is what Bridgett Leslie has achieved, but not without some challenges. She speaks to a journalist who we have agreed to protect by not showing his photo and altering his voice, but his words are quite measured and tell a different story to the leadership at the Kremlin. But at one stage during the conversation the journalist says he has to stop, someone is coming, and he starts speaking Russian,,,such is the paranoia about somebody on a phone speaking English in Moscow.
