Transmusic Airwaves presents our 6th Fresh Air special, featuring fragments from 3 shows hosted by Jim
Fisher. Jim passed away in November of 2015. The Fresh Air Archives has several recordings of his
shows, so in tribute we present the first three of his archived programs. The first fragment is a special
on the band Gong. The second is a portion of his “regular” Fresh Air show, which starts off with a
segment Jim created and called “The Whispering Yeast Hour”, which was a set-aside of his own quirky
music. The final fragment is centered on the band Camel. These artist specials were probably why
these recordings were made at all. Just a reminder that these recordings are not a “best of Fresh Air”,
just off-air captures by listeners to WKSU-FM’s Fresh Air program. Thanks to the listener’s who chose to
share their recordings with us, so the Fresh Air program was preserved, and now we can share them
