Transformation Tuesdays was inspired by the CD "The Jesus Question" by Matthew Kelly. We recap the Gospel from the prior Sunday and give action steps and resources to transform our lives for that week every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Morris Hall. Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Hello, I’m Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione Aaron Emig: And I’m Aaron Emig Season: Advent Question: How will you spend your Advent Season? Gospel: Matthew 11:2-11 Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: People were drawn to John the Baptist but not because he always told them what they wanted to hear, but because he told them what they needed to hear. John was not afraid to speak the truth. Whom do we go out in the desert to see? Someone who is going to tell us the truth of Jesus Christ…someone who is going to tell us what we want to hear or what we need to hear. Do we come to Mass on Sundays expecting someone to give us wonderful, warm and fuzzy emotional experience without too much substance or commitment expected? No. We should come to Mass, not to be entertained, but to be inspired. Not to do our own will, but to know and do God’s will. How will you spend your Advent Season? Aaron Emig: John the Baptist asks his disciples to ask Jesus, “are the one who is to come?” Jesus says basically look at all healing of the sick and proclaiming to the poor that you have seen Look at His actions, and yes, he teaches with words, but Jesus backs it with consistent actions Do we sometime say something but do another? Trust me, I have so many times We need to start doing what we know and say is good… Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Let us all continue to rejoice in God’s presence in our lives, and open ourselves up to receive Him in an even greater way. Life is too short to wait. So, start now. Renew your faith. Open your heart now in an even greater way to let Jesus in. Aaron Emig: Fundamentals: read the daily Gospel for 5 minutes a day Do it for 2 days, then 2 weeks and then 2 months and it will become a habit Then go to 10 minutes… Put it in your calendar…we plan everything else we do in our lives…Why not 10 minutes a day with the Gospels? After you create that habit, you will start acting like Jesus did…and because He is the greatest human ever to ever walk and live on earth… Why not learn from the Master and do what the Master did? Aaron Emig: Wisdom Words for the Week “I derived my strength from daily mass and communion.” Vince Lombardi Greatest coach ever in NFL history Super Bowl Champions receive the Vince Lombardi Trophy Priorities in order: God, Family and the Green Bay Packers Aaron Emig: Transformation Tool for the Season “The Jesus Question” CD from Matthew Kelly Transformation Happiness Get to know the Shepard through the Gospels Free copies at Morris Hall on Tuesdays at 2 p.m. (only while supplies last) Aaron Emig: Transformation Tuesdays Prayer: “Jesus, how do You want me to transform my life today?” Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: God Bless from Ss.
