The World Football Programme, on 107.9FM Radio Fremantle for Saturday November 23, 2024.

It’s the Penny Tanner Hoath and Dave Kindness show this week, where the football has been plentiful, the Matildas squad captures a huge amount of talent (including two new West Aussies), the Socceroos are trying to stamp a new style under Tony Popovic in their World Cup qualifying campaign and AGM’s are happening all over the park.

Thanks to the teams that support the World Football Team- Futsal WA: Perth's Premier Futsal competitions; Gate and Fence Hardware WA, Auswest Fencing and Wrought Iron and Pete Szkiela provides a solid follow of information for us via the ALeagueStats.com website. Thank you!

Our guests this week are-

Abid Imam, Football West Engagement Lead brings us the talking points and stats that have made a difference. Football West members joined together at the Sam Kerr Football Centre this week to hear from stakeholders about just how football fared overall this year.

Greg Werner, Australian Football History Facebook page Admin. An Australian Historian whom you will have seen involved with lots of grass roots football projects across Australia. You may have seen those great old black and white photos on the WA Football Hall of Fame facebook page this week, thanks to Greg’s sleuthing work. We chat Hall of Fames across Australia, Socceroos and Matildas.

Jessine Bonzas, former WA NTC Coach and now WA First Nations Women’s Coach. The growing space of indigenous football in the Australian ecosystem. Opportunities, recognition and where and how can you get involved.

Stace Ioannidis, CEO, Soccer Scene website. Banter about how Australian football is travelling, where are we sitting in the sporting echelon and if there’s anything we can do about that.
