In this episode of The Unstoppable Podcast, we’re talking to Marc Zeller. He’s the integrations lead at Aave, an open source and non-custodial liquidity protocol.

We talk to Marc about some of his earlier projects and forays into the blockchain space. He also shares some of the specific YouTube channels he thinks are especially valuable to crypto newcomers.

We discuss the questions, “What is Aave?” And what is “an open-source and non-custodial liquidity protocol for earning interest on deposits and borrowing assets”? Marc digs into this and fleshes out what the project is doing, and who it’s helping.

Marc also explains how Aave is different from other DeFi protocols and explores some of the platform’s interesting features, like the ability to switch between stable and variable interest rates. He also covers the different types of collateral Aave uses and the different tokens involved and their uses.

We discuss how Aave was able to significantly reduce its transaction fees, and where Marc sees the DeFi space heading over the next few years.
