Raised by a father who could still see the bright side of life, despite being thrust into the family business at 16 years of age after his father's sudden death. A job that required him to go door knocking to collect rent from families during The Great Depression. Helen inherited her father's resilience. It would help her through 12 months of isolation from her family as a young child, when she fell victim to a Scarlet fever outbreak. Now in her 80s, living in the era of the 'selfie', Helen solves a mystery for Amber about why people took photos a certain way when she was very young.
