As we look towards this NFL postseason, we can say without a doubt the Philadelphia Eagles are a complete team on both offense and defense. What will see this week from the Birds against the Green Bay Packers in this Wild Card matchup? This week, Lou DiBiase from the Locked on Eagles podcast joined us to break it all down.
But first, the guys discussed the Phillies offseason acquisitions thus far and their feelings towards the hot stove season. (Approx. 3:20)
From there, they talked about the Sixers and the upcoming January schedule, which is brutal. (Approx. 15:35)
The Union have made some moves during their offseason. Most notably, hiring Bradley Carnell as their next head coach. (Approx. 25:10)
The guys then discussed the goalie situation for the Flyers at the moment, which isn’t positive. Their collective save percentage is dismal. (Approx. 36:20)
From there, the guys dove into this Eagles team and exceptions for the playoffs. (Approx. 42:35)
What they threw down on the Table this week was an in-depth discussion with Lou DiBiase from the Locked on Eagles podcast about what we can expect to see from the No. 2 seed Eagles on both sides of the ball this week against the No. 7 seed Packers. A discussion about the Eagles o-line against the Packers defensive front. Can the Packers secondary contain WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith? What are the biggest vulnerabilities for the Birds heading into this Wild Card matchup? All of this and much more this week on the Table! (Approx. 47:25)

×This week on TABLE TALK , Jeff sat down with Tim Kelly from OnPattison.com for a great discussion about this Phillies hot stove and offseason. The guys dove into some storylines that Phillies Nation has been following as well as some under-the-radar storylines as well. Topics that Tim and Jeff dove into: The Phillies scouting department was on hand for Max Scherzer’s recent throwing session. Are they truly interested in the 40-year-old? Should centerfielder Brandon Marsh get some time hitting against lefties right out of the gate this season? If so, what would that mean for other aspects of the roster? Do the Phillies or the Dodgers have the best starting rotation in baseball? Assessing J.T. Realmuto and his effectiveness coming into the 2025 season. 40:09The Philadelphia Eagles are NFC Champions and are heading to the Super Bowl! The Birds beat the Washington Commanders down at The Linc in the NFC Championship Game by a score of 55-23. It will be the second time in the past three years that the Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl. We gave our thoughts, themes, and grades after the game. Jalen Hurts performed incredibly well given the knee issue that was bothering him for much of the week after the game against the Rams. But the real offensive story from the game was 7 total rushing touchdowns thanks to Hurts, Saquon Barkley and a very resilient offensive line. Vic Fangio’s defense, played incredible at all levels once again this week holding Jayden Daniels and the Commanders offense to only 23 points. Turnovers were a huge theme in this game as the Eagles had three fumble recoveries. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff. 1:02:57The Philadelphia Eagles have had a season of monumental success when we take a look at what the team and organization have done. As they head to the NFC Championship game this weekend, we dissect the offense and defense, how they’ve grown and where they may be vulnerable. Tom from Daily Dose joined us this week for an in-depth discussion about this season, a look to the Commanders matchup, and if any team neutralize the rushing attack. But first, the guys discussed the recent Baseball Hall of Fame inductees who are heading to Cooperstown, and those former players who didn’t make it this year. (Approx. 4:45) From there, they talked about and reflected on the podcast discussion with Gary “Sarge” Matthews about how baseball scouts should be inducted into the Baseball Hall Of Fame. (Approx. 13:40) They guys then moved on to talking about the Philadelphia 76ers season, how it has been a complete flop, and how they may need to tank and live to see another season. (Approx. 23:30) Then the guys dove into the how this Eagles team has been a success this season, especially with Vic Fangio and Jeff Stoutland putting both of their units in great positions to be the juggernauts they are. (Approx. 33:15) What they threw down on the Table this week was an in-depth discussion with Tommy from Daily Dose about this Eagles season, and what we can expect to see during the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders. How has the Eagles defensive line continued to grow? What needs to get cleaned up on offense and defense for them to be successful during the rest of this postseason? Can anyone neutralize Saquon Barkley and the rushing attack? All of this and much more this week on the Table! The NFC Divisional Round game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams here in the 2024-2025 season is now in the books! The Eagles defeated the Rams by a score of 28-22 down at The Linc. The Eagles now look to the NFC Championship Game where they will face the Washington Commanders in Philly. It’s going to be an incredible game. Jalen Hurts certainly didn’t play his best football of the year, but it was enough to help the Eagles win, especially with his 44-yard touchdown run in the first quarter that helped set the tone for the offense. While the wide receivers disappointed in this game, Saquon Barkley did not. He ran for 205 yards on the ground (plus 27 yards catching the ball) on 16 carries, and two touchdowns. Vic Fangio’s defense played well and placed pressure on Matt Stafford in the game when it truly counted. While the snow elements provided some challenges, the pass rush, rushing defense, and secondary played a complete game. One of our themes, however, was the many plays left on the field by the defense. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff. It was great to have our friend of the pod Matt Rogers from The Honorable Mention Podcast join us this week for our analysis. Week 18 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they have completed their regular season by beating the New York Giants by a score of 20-13 down at The Linc. The Eagles now look to the playoffs. They’ll be facing the Green Bay Packers at The Linc this next weekend. But this was a fun last regular season win while watching most of the backups. This game felt like a preseason game as we watched third-string quarterback Tanner McKee beat the Giants defense. While the Giants are a bad football team, they played their No. 1 players for most of the game. Hats off to McKee for his first NFL and Eagles win as a starting quarterback. It was also nice to see Eagles WR Jahan Dotson getting 11 targets in this game for 94 yards. Vic Fangio’s defense, mainly backups, played well against the Giants starters on offense. Holding them to just 13 points, we saw some nice play from all three levels of the defense. 22:12On this week’s OPPOSITION TERRITORY pod, we’re previewing the Week 18 matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants. Patricia Traina from the Locked On Giants podcast, and writer for New York Giants at S.I. joined us this week for our preview! The Eagles have indicated they are resting many of their starters heading into the final game of the regular season. However, there are players on the New York Giants that have something to prove as the team and organization move forward after a very disappointing year. What might we see within this week 18 matchup? Topics Patricia and Jeff dove into: - The Saquon Barkley storyline: are we comparing apples to oranges when it comes to what Saquon has done with the Eagles this season? - The conundrum with tanking for a better draft pick and players who want to prove their worth. - Bright spots for the Giants on both offense and defense long-term. - Who should we be looking at on the Giants in week 18 this weekend? All of this and much more during this week’s pregame preview show! Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com .
