After losing her leg in a farm accident when she was a small child, Joany is one of the most perseverant, optimistic, hard working and good humoured women we know. From grappling with her new body, ability, and ultimately - her identity, to excelling as a Paralympic snowboarder after a chance meeting with a coach in a prosthesis store - Joany’s story is one of tenacity and guts. Nothing was going to stop this girl from becoming the woman she is today - however life did throw her a few curve balls.
