Today I wanted to talk about motivations. What motivates you? I can bet it’s different than what motivates me. There will be similarities, sure, but overall, we will focus on different things, be motivated in different ways, use different tactics and see results in vastly different ways. In relationships, we hope to motivate each other. Generally, this can be a really beneficial situation. People can push and grow a lot in a short amount of time when their motivations, tactics and focus are the same. The problem is what I was talking about earlier, what if what motivates you is vastly different than the person pushing you or vice versa? What if the tactics only work for one or the other? Ultimately this comes down to empathy, understand that just because your goals may be aligned, it doesn’t mean that you will get to that goal the same way using the same motivations and tactics. They could be completely opposite. The important part is you are both striving to a goal and growing. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jason-sullivan/support
