In Episode 58, Darian, Shane and Cartie kick off the show discussing the dangers of getting the ‘WAP’ and just how in certain situations it runs the world. While deep diving the fellas do their best to understand just why women consider certain tactics as being empowering and why the disconnect is so immense. CeeLo had some interesting comments in regards to music after the 70’s being “regressive and distasteful” based on certain women and their choice of substance (Nicki Minaj) so the crew takes the convo a little further. After forcing her white tears on the black community for wrongfully killing Bothem Jean in cold blood, former officer Amber Guyger is now seeking a lower sentence and claims reasonable self defense. The Flats discuss just how imperative it is to be weary of who black people choose to forgive, and not having a monolithic thought in isolated situations as this is. After a wrongful death suit of $1 million dollars for negligence after the tragic drowning on his property, Carl Crawford, denies being held accountable and the guys give an interesting perspective on why that should not be the case at hand. After only two weeks of returning to school in certain states, a whopping 97,000 positive Covid cases have been confirmed. After hearing statements of casualties amongst kids returning to school, the team discusses just how this comes at no surprise. Beyoncé received major criticism behind some of the depictions in her live album ‘Black Is King’ due to some imagery of African culture which some took as demonic. The boys shoot Beyoncé some bail while emphasizing how important it is to educate ourselves on what we perceive to be Holy and Demonic amongst our own community. Lastly, after troubling messages from Azalea Banks, running back Derrius Guise, and tattoo artist Ryan Henry, the guys get into how much spiritual aligning plays a role in mental stability along with outside assistance in troubling times.
