The Philadelphia Phillies came back to beat the New York Mets 5-4 in 10 innings Monday night! Bryson Stott played the role of the hero with a solo home run to pull the Phillies to within one run in the top of the 9th inning his 4th homer of the season. Then in the top of the 10th, Stott struck again, plating Bryce Harper with an RBI Sac fly to right field that proved to be the difference in the game. Phillies starter Cristopher Sanchez battled through what can be described as a weird start.
He was either dominant or awful. However, he still managed to avoid a blowup inning. He surrendered 2 runs in the 2nd and another in the 3rd. In total, he gutted out a 108 pitch performance allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks. Phillies and Mets back at it today at 1:10.
