There is great hope in the idea that a better understanding of gene mutations, RNA, and RNAi could lead to possible treatments and cures for some of the most difficult diseases, such as ALS. However, the path to finding a cure requires collaboration across academia, government, non-profits, the pharmaceutical industry and ongoing investments in innovation.
