Phil Risher is the Founder and Owner of Phlash Consulting located in Maryland! They provide digital marketing for local service businesses by partnering with them and helping them implement a custom, data driven marketing game plan which turns their online presence into a sales funnel which then leads to happy paying customers. Phil grew up most of his life in Germantown, Maryland until he was 30 years old when he moved to Frederick County, Maryland. He attended college in Pittsburgh and graduated with an international business degree and mentions some funny and crazy stories studying abroad in Italy and partying with nuns in a convent to total strangers in China approaching him asking for pictures with him. He worked at a car rental company for 6 years starting in the ground floor to quickly being responsible at young age for a fleet of 300 vehicles worth around $6 million and then moving on to the corporate level. During this time he started a personal and finance blog on the side and would always talk marketing with his business owner corporate clients while chatting about their vehicle fleet. He eventually left the corporate world and focused on his blog full time for a period and traveled around the country. Once he returned an old corporate client contacted him and went to work for them in business development and marketing until he eventually founded Phlash Consulting in 2019. Phil shares great advice anyone can use to start and build an online presence for almost nothing, how to get free publicity, and techniques one can use for their email newsletters. He mentions how you should think about productizing your service and grow faster! Being ethical and building systems is important and chats about how not to miss out on revenue by implementing day before calls. Phil shares how he believes that happiness is a choice and to always be thinking about adding value!
