Though he left the cast of NCIS a few years ago, Mark Harmon is still very much a part of the show’s universe, as he’s now narrating the new prequel series NCIS: Origins. The show reunites him with many of the people on the NCIS production team, and Harmon’s son, Sean, is also one of the producers of Origins. (Sean Harmon has some previous NCIS experience: On the original show, he made some appearances as his father’s younger self in flashback sequences.) Harmon spoke about returning to his character — even if it is just a voiceover role and said that that his connection to the crew was one of the big reasons why he signed on for NCIS: Origins.
