The Athletic's Ben Standig wraps up the week in Commanders football with The Team 980's Brendan Darr and shares audio from his recent chat with ESPN NFL Draft Todd McShay.

Ben opens the show with news: KR DeAndre Carter is leaving for a free-agent deal with the Chargers. Not a massive loss, but this only adds to the confusion with free agency as Washington remains passive, but there are plenty of moves remaining on the table. Ben also discusses the top 30 draft visits.

Brendan joins the chat (9:45) to weigh in on the slow-moving free agency and whether this is another sign of players not wanting to join the Commanders. The fellas also get into the positives with Carson Wentz and debate Washington's options at 11 including Chris Olave and Kyle Hamilton, and why DE Jermaine Johnson is a name to track.

Then Ben and McShay talk rookie quarterbacks, intrigue with Desmond Ridder and whether Wentz moves the needle (41:05)
