In this Sleepy Scriptures episode, we begin the Gospel of Mark with chapters 1 through 7 from the King James Bible, accompanied by gentle background music to ease your mind and bring you peace.

Mark’s account opens with John the Baptist preparing the way, followed by the baptism of Jesus and the beginning of His ministry. These chapters highlight Jesus’ early miracles — healing the sick, casting out demons, and cleansing the leper.

In chapter 4, we hear the parable of the sower and witness Jesus’ power as He calms the storm with the words, “Peace, be still.” Mark also recounts the dramatic healing of the demon-possessed man, the raising of Jairus’ daughter, and the woman healed by touching the hem of His garment.

Chapter 6 brings the familiar story of the feeding of the five thousand, a reminder of Christ’s abundant provision.
