73. The Story of Cambodian Cowboy with Chad Phuong
Manage episode 347850073 series 2819429
The "Cambodian Cowboy" now feeds his Long Beach neighborhood Texas-style BBQ with a distinctively Cambodian touch after moving to Texas as an adult after arriving in the United States as a refugee. Chad is always working to develop this brand-new concept of taking Cambodian culture and infusing it with community. He shares his life story through his exploration of careers to finally finding his calling in serving his community through his food. He believes in the second generation of leaders and has always inspired me with his work ethic and support. Listen in on his entire story and how each career choice has shaped him to bring him where he is today.
The following golden nuggets is for anybody out there who realizes that having a pop up or food concept is their passion:
- Do what you love.
- You don’t need to try hard for something that you’re not passionate about.
- It’s never just about money.
- Money will come but make sure that your product is good.
- Take a risk in life.
