Welcome to this month's episode with illustrator, author and surface pattern designer, Jo Phillips (@infinitydesignerjophillips)

Jo Phillips is a seasoned creative with a rich background in art and design, holding an MA in Illustration. Despite facing significant health challenges, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and being late diagnosed Autistic, ADHD, and Dyslexic, Jo's determination and passion have driven her to success. She founded a Jewish greeting card business that made it to London’s renowned John Lewis department store and now runs a thriving handmade paper shop on Etsy, PaperlyUK. Jo’s journey is a testament to resilience and adaptation, as she continues to inspire as a freelance illustrator and designer, focusing on surface pattern designs. Her recent ADHD diagnosis has been life-changing, enhancing her understanding of her creative process and mental health. Jo’s story offers valuable insights into finding joy amidst adversity and embracing one's unique path.

Key discussion points:

  • Jo's education and creative process as an illustrator
  • The challenges she has navigated in her career
  • Neurodiversity and how her ADHD and hyper-fantasia enhances her creative process.

Thank you for listening!

Stay wild x
