In this episode, we sit down with Vancouver Canadians outfielder Eddie Micheletti, a 2024 Blue Jays draft pick making waves in the 2025 season. Eddie opens up about finding his rhythm after a rocky start, the mental grind of pro ball, and what it means to have fans chanting your name in the bottom of the ninth. From eight-game losing streaks to 11-game winning stretches, Eddie talks highs, lows, and everything in between. He shares how advanced scouting has sharpened his plate approach, what separates college from pro ball, and the science behind his strike-zone discipline, rated by Baseball America as the best in the Blue Jays’ minor-league system. But it’s not all walk-offs and stat lines—Eddie gets real about long bus rides, hotel living, mental resets after tough games, and the power of good teammates (and video games) to keep you grounded. And yes—we relive the grand slam that dented the "Return It" sign. Follow Eddie: Twitter – @EddieMicheletti Instagram – @eddie.micheletti…

In this episode, Vancouver Canadians public address announcer Niall O'Donohoe chats with K.P. Wee about what makes Rogers Field at Nat Bailey Stadium so special for fans who make it out to the ballpark. Niall also discusses some highlights for the C's in the first half of the 2025 season, which saw Vancouver just barely miss out on the pennant. At the time of the conversation (June 29, 2025), the C's were set to take on the Tri-City Dust Devils (High-A affiliate of the L.A. Angels) in the finale of their six-game series, with three more games to go in the homestand.…

What do multilingualism, mental resilience, and an eight-game losing streak have in common? They're all part of the journey of Nic Deschamps, catcher for the Vancouver Canadians. In this episode, Nic chats with host K.P. Wee and shares how growing up in Quebec City shaped his baseball path—from juggling hockey and baseball as a kid to stepping into the catcher’s gear for good at 14. He dives into what sparked the team’s dramatic mid-season turnaround, how trust defines the bond with pitchers, and why communication transcends language barriers when you speak English, French, and Spanish. Nic also opens up about: The challenge of training through snowy Quebec winters—and how a local dome changed everything Battling through early-season setbacks to improve his offensive game Staying mentally sharp on grueling road trips and letting go of tough days Why superstition isn’t his thing, even if jersey streaks might suggest otherwise Which NHL jersey he owns (no, it's not the Habs') And yes... why poutine is elite ballpark food (especially when you're homesick)…

Vancouver Canadians infielder Sean Keys, a newcomer to the club in the 2025 season, stops by to chat with K.P. Wee on this episode. A corner infielder selected by Toronto in the fourth round of the 2024 draft out of Bucknell University, Keys is ranked by MLB.com as the Blue Jays’ No. 20 prospect, while Baseball America places him at No. 24 and highlights him as having the best infield arm in Toronto’s farm system. In the month of May 2025, Keys batted .223 with four home runs and 18 RBIs in 94 at-bats with the Canadians. He also stole four bases without being caught. Keys also celebrated his 22nd birthday in May right after graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Among his academic projects was designing a robot capable of tracking and following a taped line on the floor. Vancouver Canadians infielder Nick Goodwin stops by to chat with K.P. Wee on this episode. Selected by the Blue Jays in the 7th round of the 2023 MLB draft, the right-handed hitting infielder is in his third stint with the Canadians, and is coming off being named Northwest League Player of the Week for the period ending June 8th. He had five homers and 12 RBIs while batting .429 in five games for the week, and including a homer the previous week, six home runs in six games played in the month of June. He is the fourth Vancouver player to earn a Northwest League award this season, joining Arjun Nimmala, Victor Arias, and Adrian Pinto. At the time of the conversation, Goodwin was hitting .252 overall with nine home runs and 30 RBIs in 40 games on the season.…

Vancouver Canadians outfielder Je'Von Ward chats with host K.P. Wee before a home game in late May 2025. Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 12th round of the 2017 MLB draft, the native of Cerritos, CA, spent seven seasons with the organization, reaching High-A ball in 2021 and 2023. Ward began 2024 playing for Kane County (Illinois) in independent baseball before being signed by the Toronto Blue Jays organization. That season, he played 63 games in Vancouver, hitting .279 with seven home runs. He was assigned back to Vancouver at the start of 2025. Vancouver Canadians pitcher Pat Gallagher stops by to chat about his transition from being a starting pitcher last season to becoming a reliever this season in 2025, as well as his goals for this year. In 2024, Pat won eight games to lead the C's staff, just one behind the Northwest League leaders. He also led the C's with 21 starts and 91 innings. So far this season as a reliever, he is 1-0 with a 0.95 ERA across 10 appearances.…

In this episode, K.P. chats with catcher Robert Brooks prior to a recent home game at Rogers Field at Nat Bailey Stadium. The conversation came a week before Brooks was called up to Double-A New Hampshire. With Vancouver this season, Brooks ended up hitting .262 in 27 games, along with four home runs and 10 RBIs. His journey is a good story. He started the year in independent ball after being let go by the Tampa Bay Rays organization last season. There is also mention of the impact of the newcomers on the Canadians after the Major League Baseball trade deadline, with the Blue Jays, the parent club, sending players such as Cutter Coffey (formerly with the Red Sox organization), Jacob Sharp (from the Mariners), and Jay Harry (from the Twins) to Vancouver.…

Wee, The C's Baseball Podcast brings you coverage of the Vancouver Canadians (the High-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays and Canada's only affiliated professional minor-league baseball club) through recaps and interviews of players chasing big-league dreams within the Blue Jays organization. Hornung, who has also played first base and left field for the C’s, is from the Boston area and—surprisingly—rooted against the Bruins in the 2011 Stanley Cup Final against Vancouver. In this episode, K.P. chats with Canadians infielder Nick Goodwin prior to a recent home game at Rogers Field at Nat Bailey Stadium. Selected by the Blue Jays in the seventh round of the 2023 MLB amateur draft out of Kansas State University, the now-22-year-old is currently hitting .220 with eight homers and 28 RBIs in 56 games with the Canadians. He started his pro career with Dunedin in 2023 and was called up to Vancouver late last season. He saw action in the 2023 Northwest League championship series after an injury to Peyton Williams, and Goodwin took advantage of his opportunity by homering in the series-clinching victory. Goodwin grew up in a baseball family, as his father David Goodwin played in the Kansas City Royals organization as a first baseman from 1998-2000. His uncle Mark Goodwin was also an outfielder/first baseman in the Baltimore Orioles system in 1985-86. If you can't make it out to the ballpark, you can listen to Canadians games on CanadiansBaseball.com or catch the action on MiLB TV .…
