Repetition is a key element in everyday life. Daily routines give us a sense of stability and direction. The arts have also used repetition as the driving force behind powerful narratives. The most popular example is the movie “Groundhog Day”...although there are many time loop movies besides GD. Some scientists believe there are benefits to having repeat experiences. For example, for a variety of reasons...sometimes we don’t fully appreciate something the first time we do it. When we repeat the experience, we have another opportunity to appreciate it.
