On July 6, 2025, KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi made explosive allegations about a high-level criminal syndicate infiltrating South Africa’s criminal justice system, implicating the South African Police Service (SAPS), the Police Ministry, Parliament, the judiciary, and other institutions.
