598: NFL Playoff Season/As the Coaching Carousel Turns - The Roundup Podcast
Manage episode 394885347 series 2873942
On today’s show, it’s NFL Playoff season and we’re loaded up with previews for what should be a great slate of high stakes football over Super Wild Card Weekend, and we see the opportunity for at least a few upsets. Now the field looks a little different than what we saw coming into the season, with the Super Bowl representatives from last season looking far less dominant this time around, with the Eagles even opening up on the road in Tampa, the Rams, Steelers, Packers and Texans surprising a lot of people by getting in, and the Lions boasting home field advantage, but the Cowboys and Bills playing host this weekend worked out just as scripted. Best chances for an upset? I give the Texans, Packers and the Rams at least a puncher’s chance and the way the Eagles have looked lately, maybe the Bucs can pull off the most surprising upset. Plus, Black Monday means the coaching carousel is up and running again, and there have been some shocking changes around the league. And while we’re talking a lot of football this week, we’ll still find time to look at the NBA with some appreciation for NBAtv’s fantastic Crunchtime whip around show. So sit back, the NBA approaches mid-season, the NFL Playoffs are here and we’re breaking down how it’s all unfolding, next on the Roundup Podcast so let’s get rolling . . .
