A global provider of financial services with its headquarters in New York City, American Express began operations in 1850 and issued the first American Express® card in 1958.
A Gold Card is a charge credit card offered by American Express other than a Platinum Card. These Charge Cards are special as they do not have a pre-established credit limit. American Express has updated the Gold Card's offer/discount catalogue, making it an even more attractive option.
Gold Card offers followings Rewards and Benefits:
Bonus rewards on dining, supermarkets and certain travel
- 4 Membership Rewards points when you dine at restaurants. This includes takeout.
- 1 point on all other spending.

- When you use your American Express® Gold Card to reserve and pay for your car rental, and decline the collision damage waiver at the rental car counter, you can be covered if the car is damaged or stolen.
