Many barriers exist that can prevent us from seeing the cross clearly. We want to attempt to remove those barriers and share the gospel. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15). For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)

Episode 203 Jordan Peterson collaborated with Jubilee and agreed to debate 20 atheists. He made four claims: Atheists reject God but they don't know what they are rejecting. Morality and purpose cannot be found within science. Everyone, including atheists, worships something, even if they don't know it. Atheists accept Christian morality but deny Christianity's foundational stories. While some of the atheists engaged in good faith, some were only there for the viral video moment. As a result, many attempts to get to the substance of the arguments fell short. John and his wife Cathy have dedicated their lives to reaching the lost souls of eastern Ukraine. Despite the horrors following the 2022 invasion and at great personal cost, they refused to leave, continuing to provide help, comfort, supplies, and the gospel to the people of the region. Understandably, most missionaries have fled. With so many lives lost, so many homes destroyed, and so many families bereft of hope and security, people are now more open to spiritual truth. John and Cathy stand in the gap, serving the Lord and being the vessels through whom God continues to shower grace on the Ukrainians. Additionally, their ministries to the deaf and to military servicemembers are thriving amidst the chaos. Though they did not initially set out to minister to these people groups, God equipped and commissioned them for it. It also has the largest mosque in the nation. With these stats, we may be tempted to engage through fleshly predispositions. David Gates, however, explains in this interview how Dearborn is no different from any other U.S. city, and how a love for Christ and for souls will help us override those predispositions and see the lost souls behind the mosques, the hijabs, or the calls to prayer. In this episode of the Removing Barriers podcast we talk with recurring guest Shawn Henly about the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (IVCF), a worldwide college campus organization that claims it seeks to establish and advance witnessing opportunities of students and faculty. If that sounds a bit like Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), you would be right. But what many of us do not realize is that these organizations, though established with good intentions, are completely infiltrated with unbiblical ideologies like feminism, woke-ism, and racism. We must expose these things to encourage reform and repentance. Shawn Henly of Cross Crusaders has been actively trying to warn and inform Christians of IVCF's departure from the scriptures for a long time now, and he joins us to peel back the rot underneath the veneer of christian evangelism.
