Our guest today is Brant Dumford. Brant was born in Wichita but currently lives in Derby, KS, and is the owner of a co-working space called The Colony. Brant got his start in real estate investing because he realized at an early age that he didn’t want to spend his whole life doing manual labor like his dad who was a baker and was making 50 cents per loaf of bread. With a first time home buyer tax credit available, Brant acquired his first house at the age of 21 for $80,000 with no money down, no money out of pocket, and walked away with an $8,000 tax credit; that’s pretty impressive for a beginner! From there, Brant has steadily built his portfolio and made many connections in the real estate industry. We’re lucky to have Brant as a guest on our podcast, so tune in and don’t miss a minute of this episode!
