Once upon a time, in a land before the pandemic, if you had heard the word Zoom uttered, you may well have thought that somebody was describing an ice cream or a ride at a theme park. However, in an era where coronavirus reigns supreme, it is a word that has entered our daily lives and the lexicon and has been a constant companion throughout lockdown. Are we now though suffering from Zoom fatigue? According to research it seems that we are. Not only is Zoom making us less productive, but it is also resulting in us unnecessarily replicating communication in our personal and working lives, distracting us and leaving us mentally tired. To find out more on how Zoom is burning us out, Sputnik spoke with Paul Levy, Senior Researcher in innovation Management at the University of Brighton.
