A podcast that takes controversial topics and makes them conversational. It dares to challenge the status quo and interrogate the times we are living in, one fucked up comment at a time.

This week's #Problematic opinion is there is nothing selfless about having children. In this episode, we explore the reasons why people have children and interrogate whether having children is only for self-serving purposes. Some people have children to attain happiness, company, or sometimes to mend relationships. Why do you think people have children? Let us know on our social media @problematic_aff.…
This weeks #Problematic opinion is can you be about Africa but not be in Africa? We talk to our guest Tanah, about his thoughts on being African and living in a high income country. What roles do Africans living abroad play in the development of the African continent? Are qualifications/opportunities abroad different than those locally? How much do our own biased perceptions play into valuing experiences internationally vs locally? Let us know your thoughts.…
This weeks #Problematic opinion is the most important career decision you'll make is who you choose as a romantic partner. In this episode, we unpack how romantic partners can influence your career, whether you realize it or not. This weeks #Problematic opinion is that even though we all want them to move to Australia (kidding), there are some things we can learn from White people. From asking to speak to the manager to grooming individuals who dominate in the working world, corporate or otherwise, there is much to be learnt from white folk. What are some things white folks have taught you? Are these good or bad lessons? Let us know on our instagram @problematic_aff.…
This weeks #Problematic opinion is that contrary to popular belief, job hopping is probably the greatest career move you could make. We talk to our guest Dee who is a chronic Job Hopper and Wellness Blogger. Together, we interrogate whether it's still important to be a specialist/expert in your field. This weeks #Problematic opinion is about how you have contributed to the death of some of your most favourite artists. Kidding. But the art we consume is often created by tortured souls and the most depressed people in our society. Because of this, we seek to understand whether there is a correlation between mental health and creative genius. We also dive into our responsibility as consumers of this art, and pose the question to our listeners about whether there is anything we can do to alleviate the pressures that come with being an artist. Are you one of those people who rejoice when Adele goes through a break up because you know you can expect another album from it? Let us know your thoughts!…
This weeks #Problematic opinion is around relationships, their constructs, and if "forever" with one person is a real practical thing. We will explore whether monogamy is possible in our day and age, and interrogate the reasons for marriage. This weeks #ProblematicAF opinion is about the need for black wealth networks. Accumulating wealth seldom has to do with working hard and climbing up the corporate ladder. It has to do with who you know and who they can connect you to, who you play golf with and how easy it is to access credit/funding. This episode explores the need for black people to formulate these networks amongst ourselves and build the kind of social capital that can uplift our communities. Do you have examples of when social capital has worked in your favour or against you? Let us know.…
This weeks #Problematic opinion is about woke culture and how it has influenced the way we talk about certain topics like gender, politics and race. There has been a general consensus that people are sensitive about everything nowadays, and that everything needs to be politically correct. The downfall of woke culture is that even though it encourages difference of thought and individualism, it forces you to think of things in a spectrum. It is either you are democrat or a republican. A liberal, a communist or authoritarian. If you are black you have to be about Obama and you must be disappointed in Kanye Wests recent views. Woke culture forces people to think singularly and almost forces people to abide by the most “superior” status quo/school of thought of the time. You must all think singularly especially as black people otherwise you are cancelled and dragged through the courts of twitter. Your thoughts?…
