Parshas Vayechi: Why do Chessed?

Yosef is requested to do true chessed (חסד ואמת) for Yaakov and bury him with his forefathers and not in Egypt. What is the definition of true chessed? Is there a type of chessed that is not Emes? Is chessed and emes the same or opposites? What do we see as good? How do we view our acts of Chessed? … What this has to do with Adam and Chava and the Eitz Haddaas.
