Stickler, Bradley Bondy, and Jenna Deml talk the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program (IBR). Starting us off, they talk the history of Columbia River crossings, from ferries to the current bridge span and its shortcomings. This brought on the CRC (Columbia River Crossing) a project which was eventually scrapped due to a multitude of structural and financial issues, as well as interference from the Coast Guard. In lieu of this sprang the Common Sense Alternative (CSA), which was immediately dismissed by transportation agencies. But what is the problem with IBR specifically?
