Görsel kültür bazlı üretime dayalı günümüz dünyasında bir popüler kültür formu olarak kanıksanan fakat Antik Yunan'a, hatta tarih öncesi mağara resimlerine dek evveliyatı genişletilebilecek olan bir grafik üretim pratiği hakkında, bugün çizgi roman olarak bildiğimiz pratiğin tarihsel gelişimi ve bu gelişim süresince geçtiği formel evreler üzerine konuşuyoruz.…
Büyüler, periler, muskalar, tılsımlar, astroloji, fal, dinler, batıl inançlar… Bilimin reddettiği hayaletler neden güçleniyor? Aydınlanma Çağı’ndan itibaren anlamlarını yitirmeleri için çaba sarf ediliyor; ama bugün niye hâlâ bilinmeyenin gizemi haline gelip bir etki alanı yaratıyorlar? Bunlardan azade bir toplumda yaşadığımızı söyleyebilir miyiz?…
Dijital sanat, NFT vb. kültürel üretimleri popüler kültür çerçevesinde ele aldığımız iki programlık serinin bu bölümünde işin kavramsal boyutundan çıkıp Amerikalı sanatçı Jonathan Monaghan’ın Kalyon Kültür'de yer alan "Şaşaa" (Opulence) sergisinden izlenim ve yorumlarımızı paylaşıyoruz.

Bu programda kılavuzumuz, Fransız tarihçi François Hartog’un “Şimdicilik”/“Presentism” kavramını işlediği “Tarihsellik Rejimleri” teorisi.…

Öncelikle kültür ve sanatsal üretim konusunda sıkça başvurulan, Walter Benjamin’in “Tekniğin Olanaklarıyla Yeniden Üretilebildiği Çağda Sanat Yapıtı” makalesinin çizdiği teorik altyapıdan yola çıkarak tekniğin sanatı mümkün kıldığı ya da çoğaltılmasını sağladığı çağda sanatçı-eser ve tekniğin aracılığıyla bu sürecin nasıl anlamlandırıldığına, yorumlanıp değerlendirildiğine bakıyoruz.…
