He is an active member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), Linguistics Society of America (LSA), and the American Dialect Society (ADS). His guilty pleasures include stand-up comedy and improv, 90′s grunge karaoke, BBQ, and New Jersey Devils hockey.
