We are covering our panel discussion for Chapter 20 in several parts and this is Part 1. Well it’s a tough crowd this week (for one of our panellists that is!) as we work our way through the first pages of this chapter. Ouspensky’s choice of words and his seemingly over dramatic turn of phrase in the first few paragraphs is out of character and there is a reason for this as Peter Lancett points out – it would appear Mr Ouspensky is writing for two audiences. The discussion covers the ‘Abyss’ with the loss of everything real through to the logic of Aristotle and Bacon.
