SPECIAL ISSUE: Light in the darkness: from the Amazon to Canada
Manage episode 409978914 series 3551500
This episode is the first of the Special Issue episodes that will go out every ten episodes. In every episode of the Special Issue, an adult who grew up in a conflict zone or had to leave it being a child tells their life story: their fears, hopes, and successes.
Join Sofiia Yakymenko as she talks to David Falconer, the founder and executive director of Classrooms Without Walls: a Non-Profit organization that aims to provide children and youth living in conflict zones with access to free education.
In this episode, David tells about having to flee from Chile due to the coup at the age of 11, a school in the Amazon Jungle, the encounters with wild animals, and what brought him to where he is now.
